Crilly & Wardell developed a clean and modern design solution for the Irish Foster Care Association new brand identity. It features a stylised foster care and fostered child emblem that is built around the IFCA promise of providing a voice for foster carers in Ireland.
The new logo reflects the IFCA's role as a provider of vital services that may be missing in the fostering process - namely Support & Mediation, Training and Advocacy. The ’shield’ shape of the masterwork symbolises the protection and continuity of services provided by IFCA - an ever present resource for foster parents/carers, while the figures suggest the human touch that is an integral part of IFCA.
The new clean lines presents IFCA in a professional, yet warm and friendly way. The fresh light colours suggest a new attitude from the organisation, reflecting the challenges that foster parents face today, and the subtle use of grey adds a touch of authority, an vital element for the IFCA when communicating legal or regulatory information to foster parents/carers.
It is envisaged that the new brand identity could be used in multiple colourways to add flexibility in communication, and that the shield motif may be used independently of the text/name as a distinctive graphic element in it's own right.
