Once upon a time there were two designers. They worked in a big design company with lots of people, multiple departments and plenty of red tape.

When their really good creative work was in danger of becoming really ordinary work, they decided to stop, and find out why. It didn’t take long to work out - the extra layers of people who should have made life easier for the designers (and the clients) were getting in the way.

At this point the two designers realised that less really is more. The less people involved, the more creative the work. So they left the big company, moved to the country, and set up a small agency. Pretty soon the really good work became really great work, which made the designers (us) and the clients (you) very happy.

We started Crilly & Wardell because we believed there was a better way to work with clients. And nothing has changed since we set up our studio in 2008. We are deliberately small so that we can work efficiently and responsively.

It sounds simple - because it is simple.
